Joel D. Block, Ph.D., is an award-winning psychologist, practicing couple/sex therapy and conducting couple-relationship seminars throughout the United States. In his writing and practice, Dr. Block has spent three decades specializing in couple and sexual issues. He has trained and supervised countless psychologists in couple/sex therapy.

Dr. Block is the author of numerous magazine articles and 15 books, including: Naked Intimacy: How to Increase True Openness in Your Relationship; Broken Promises, Mended Hearts: Maintaining Trust in Love Relationships; and Secrets of Better Sex, featured in the New York Times. His latest book: Making it Work When You Work a Lot: 10 Power Strategies for Connecting as a Couple will be published in October 2005.

Dr. Block has appeared on all three morning network news shows (CBS, NBC and ABC), countless radio shows, and has been a psychology consultant to ABC. In addition, he is a senior psychologist on the staff of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Einstein College of Medicine.
