How to use Mental Toughness

Mental toughness is the ability to stay the course, to reach your goals, even when the going gets tough. It is the ability to perform in the now, to get in the zone and stay there. Once you have attained it, you will find that success becomes not only possible but inevitable!

The three sessions on this program are all hypnotic. Listen to only one hypnotic session per day. However, you may repeat that one session on that day if you wish.

How to have a successful hypnosis experience:

Before listening to these hypnotic sessions for the first time, you need to optimize your experience for the session to give you the most benefit. So we recommend the following:

  • Find a room in which you can be undisturbed for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Dim the lights in order to minimize visual distractions.
  • Sit in a comfortable chair. Sitting up is preferable to lying down on a couch or bed because you want to be focused on the session. If you prefer to lie down, be aware that, should you fall asleep; the session will not be effective.
  • Wear clothing that is comfortable.
  • Turn off possible interruptions such as the ringer on your telephone.
  • Wear headphones if you like; this is optional.
  • After listening to a session, it is most useful to keep what you've learned in mind. Effective hypnosis does not consist of just listening and then forgetting about it; you should review the content as you would anything new that you really want to learn.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY SESSION WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE ENGAGED IN ANY ACTIVITY THAT REQUIRES YOUR ATTENTION.

Mental Toughness is a three-session audio hypnosis program. Dr. Fiore has created this program to be incremental so that each session builds on the prior one.

It is essential for you to:

  • Use the program in the order it is presented.
  • Absorb one session before moving to the next. Most people find that they achieve the most benefit if they listen to a session for three days before going to the next session. The instructions below are based on the three-day guideline, but you may always take more days on a single track if you wish.

Day 1:

After you have selected your optimal place in which to listen, listen to Track 1, "Mental Toughness."

If you have time, repeat this session today. It is also very helpful to practice regularly the three-part breathing technique that Dr. Fiore has taught you, because this is an essential technique for achieving mental toughness.

Days 2 to 3:

Listen again to Track 1 on these days and keep absorbing its content. In other words, make its content your own. If you have the opportunity, you can listen to it more than once a day.

Days 4 to 6:

On the fourth day, move on to Track 2, "Resilience." Again, listen once a day for three days. If you have the time, you may listen to the session more than once a day.

Days 7 through 9:

Listen to Track 3, "Commitment to Your Goals," at least once a day for three days.

Days 10 and following:

Whenever you feel you need reinforcement, you always have Mental Toughness at hand. If you experience a high-stress situation, or if you just think you've strayed out of the mental-toughness zone, you can always listen to one or more tracks that particularly apply to you at that time.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I know if I am actually hypnotized while listening to the sessions?

The experience of hypnosis is different for everyone. You might go into a very deep trance and not remember the session. In this case, it is obvious that you were under hypnosis. But for many people, hypnosis is much like reading a good book. You are absorbed, but are still aware of your environment and your internal dialogue.

Will I lose control?

No, because hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your will. All hypnosis is essentially self-hypnosis, and hypnosis will actually give you more control over yourself than you had before.

Can I listen while sleeping?

It is not a good idea to listen to the hypnosis sessions while lying down to go to bed. If you fall asleep, the sessions will not be effective.

Can I listen while driving?

Absolutely not. Never listen to a hypnosis session while driving or engaged in any activity that requires your attention.

Can I use more than one hypnosis program at once?
