How to use Effective Goal Setting

How to have a successful hypnosis experience:

  • Find a room in which you can be undisturbed for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Dim the lights to minimize visual distractions.
  • Sit upright in a comfortable chair, as Dr. Fiore recommends.
  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • Turn off possible interruptions such as the ringer on your telephone.
  • Wear headphones if you like; this is optional.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY SESSION WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE ENGAGED IN ANY ACTIVITY THAT REQUIRES YOUR ATTENTION.

Effective Goal Setting is a 7-track downloadable audio hypnosis program. Dr. Fiore has created this program to be incremental; in other words, each session builds on the prior one. Therefore, it is recommended that you:

  • Use the program in the order it is presented.
  • Internalize and completely absorb a session before moving to the next one. Most people find that they achieve the most benefit if they listen to a single session for at least two consecutive days before going to the next session. You may always take more days on a single track if you wish.

Days 1 through 3:

On Day 1, first listen to the Introduction, Introduction to the Four Steps of Effective Goal Setting. You only need to listen to this once. This will give you a brief overview of the program, of Dr. Fiore's qualifications, and more info about what to expect with this program.

Also, listen to Track 2: Preparing Your Unconscious to Achieve Your Goals. In this session, you'll learn a breathing exercise that will help you to get into the moment and to focus. Here you'll identify your ultimate goal and use your new breathing exercise to feel motivated and excited for your next step. Repeat this for a couple days or until you're ready to get started!

Days 4 through 7:

Listen to Track 3, which is Step 1 of Dr. Fiore's 4 Part Effective Goal Setting plan, called the Pros and Cons of Goal Setting. Here you will give yourself a goal and a deadline. You'll assess the pros and cons of your goal and weigh the risk-benefit analysis for the goal. Using your new breathing exercise, you'll feel empowered and ready to begin. Repeat this for a few days or until you're feeling comfortable to move on.

Days 8 through 10:

Step 2, Choosing the Path to Your Goal, will help to eliminate the anxiety and self-doubt that comes from not having a concrete path to achieving your goal. Learn to break your ultimate goal down into small sections of things you can easily accomplish. This will help to eliminate worry and anxiety!

Days 11 through 13:

Creating Your Functional Goal, Step 3, will help you to strengthen the power of your vision to your goal. Plan and commit to the specific actions that will lead you closer to your goal.

Days 14 through 16:

As you emerge as the true leader of your life, Step 4, Preparing For Your Long Term Success, will help you to bounce back from any setbacks or distractions you encounter in your path to success.

Days 16 and 17:

Listen to Bonus: Imagery For Transitioning to Your Goal. The goal of this track is to help you feel at one with your mind and body. You'll feel confident with where you are today and motivated to find out where you're going as you move closer to accomplishing your goal. This "feel good" track will inspire you and make you feel eager to work on your plans.

Upon completion of Effective Goal Setting:

Once you've completed the program, listen to it again whenever you feel you need to reconnect with your inner genius or when you set a new goal!

Dr. Fiore has created a workbook for you with specially designed sheets to plan out your goal and to break it down into detailed, manageable steps. You'll eliminate feelings of frustration and anxiety because you will always know what to do next! Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I know if I am actually hypnotized while listening to the sessions?

The experience of hypnosis is different for everyone. You might go into a very deep trance and not remember the session. In this case, it is obvious that you were under hypnosis. But for many people, hypnosis is much like reading a good book. You are absorbed, but are still aware of your environment and your internal dialogue.

Will I lose control?

No, because hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your will. All hypnosis is essentially self-hypnosis, and hypnosis will actually give you more control over yourself than you had before.

Can I listen while driving?

Absolutely not. Never listen to a hypnosis session while driving or engaged in any activity that requires your attention.

Can I use more than one hypnosis program at once?
