Q: Will Enjoying Weight Loss help me if my biggest issue is stress eating?
A: The focus of the program is on eating consciously and healthfully in a way that nurtures your body instead of harming it. And listening to the program tends to help listeners relax and reduce stress. So Enjoying Weight Loss is a solid tool to use against stress eating. As one user said, "I am paying more attention to my food choices, and to exactly how I am feeling, asking: 'Am I genuinely hungry? Or is it thirst, boredom, loneliness, etc.?' Mainly, I don't feel like I am on a 'DIET'; I am learning how to make better choices."
Q: Must I select a particular diet in order to Use Enjoying Weight Loss effectively?
What if I'm on a restricted diet?
A: You don't have to follow any one program. Session two of the program will help you develop a plan for yourself that you will want to follow. If your plan is to control portion sizes, and you know what you can and can't eat, then that will be your plan. You may want to consult your doctor or dietician to help you develop a plan if you have significant dietary restrictions.
Q: Do I have to see myself as thin in order for this to work?
I can't change what I see in the mirror.
A: You may be confusing hypnosis with visualization, in which you would visualize yourself as a thin person. The hypnosis program will not ask your subconscious mind to deny brute reality. Instead, the hypnotic suggestions will be for behavior. Only by following a healthy plan for as long as it takes will you ever end up being at your ideal weight. Suggestions will be made to you that you are enjoying the process of steadily becoming healthier and of losing body fat. Concrete steps like eating smaller portions, eating more vegetables, drinking more water, eliminating empty calories, consistently exercising, and enjoying all of these are stressed in the program. These suggestions reinforce the behaviors and thoughts used by people who have successfully lost a significant amount of weight, and more importantly, have kept it off.
Q: How long will I listen each day?
A: The longest session in the program is 23 minutes, and the shortest is 13 minutes. We recommmend you listen to one session per day, at least one time per day. If you have time to listen to a particular session twice in one day, great! But it's not required.
Q: Can I convert the CD files to MP3s and load them on my MP3 player?
A: Absolutely. And since we recommend listening to the program through headphones while relaxing comfortably, it's a great idea.
Q: Is the Enjoying Weight Loss program suitable for children?
A: Enjoying Weight Loss is NOT designed for small children. It IS perfectly suitable for teenagers of high-school age or older.
Q: What kinds of changes will this program create in my life?
A: You will notice subtle changes to your daily routine. Perhaps you are drinking more water, and snacking less. Maybe you notice yourself eating (and enjoying) more vegetables, or perhaps you are now being satisfied with smaller portion sizes. The changes are not going to hit you over the head like a hammer. They will be subtle, but noticeable. You will also notice that going into hypnosis becomes easier as you learn to allow the sessions to work for you.
Q: How long should I expect to use the program before seeing results?
A: Many people feel the effects right away and see results before they even complete the program. Others complete the full program (which takes about 3 weeks) before they begin to lose weight. However, they typically have already made changes in their eating and exercise habits, and in their relationship to food, before this point.
Q: Can I listen to the program while driving?
A: NO, absolutely not. Never listen to a hypnosis session while driving or engaged in any activity that requires your attention. Please listen in a quiet place where you will be undisturbed, without operating a vehicle or any dangerous machinery.
Q: What happens when I reach my goal weight?
Will I still have to listen to the CDs for the program to help me?
A: You shouldn't have to listen every day, although many people find they enjoy a few minutes relaxing with the program regularly. Many people find it helpful to listen to the session on "Avoiding Temptation" before a big event at which they know they might be tempted to deviate from their eating plan, or to listen to the session on "Maintaining Your Weight Loss" every couple of weeks. The advantage of using a program on CD is that you CAN listen again for a week or two if you find your motivation slipping several months down the road.
Q: Has this program been tested? What's your evidence that it works?
A: Nothing works for everyone in the world. However, the feedback on the program is extremely positive. In addition to the thousands of satisfied customers who have used Enjoying Weight Loss successfully, the program has now been used by numerous physicians, psychologists, and dieticians with their own patients. Do I have to try the product for a year before returning it?

Most people know within about 2 months whether a program will be effective or not, but we like to give you plenty of time so you do not feel rushed.
